Why it is our go-to
Engineered hardwood has a real-wood top layer bonded to a plywood core. It looks like solid wood because it is wood. But the layered core resists the swelling and shrinking that Michigan weather causes.

Handles Michigan conditions
Freeze-thaw cycles, salt tracked in on boots, and summer humidity all stress a floor. Engineered planks cope with them better than solid wood does. They can be installed over concrete slabs, in many finished basements with a dry slab, and in open-plan rooms.
If your basement is damp rather than dry, luxury vinyl plank is the safer answer, and we will say so.

From estimate to finished floor
We come to your home, measure, check your subfloor, and show samples in your own light. Then we remove the old floor, level where needed, and install, usually in one day for a single room and a couple of days for a whole floor.
