What laminate does well
Laminate is a layered plank with a printed wood-look surface and a tough wear layer. It resists scratches, stands up to dogs and kids, and costs less than real wood. BRC Flooring installs it across Metro Detroit, usually in a single day.

Where we suggest something else
Laminate has a fiberboard core that swells when soaked. Basements, laundry rooms, and kitchens near a leaky dishwasher are better served by luxury vinyl plank, which is fully waterproof. For a real-wood top layer, compare engineered hardwood.

How a laminate install goes
We remove the old floor, check the subfloor, and lay underlayment. Planks click together with expansion gaps at the walls, and trim goes on to hide the gaps. If the old floor is rough, our demo and prep work comes first.
